About us

Our congregation is made up of a wide range of ages. We have a lot of children! In fact, some of your children may have attended one of the annual holiday club sessions run every year at the start of the summer holidays. The children have great fun, do lots of different activities, and make new friends.

We are not just for families with children though. We also have single people, and older people whose children have left home, including some pensioners.

You may not realise that the word “church” does not apply to the building itself, but to the people who have come together in common faith. That is why we also have carecells. These smaller groups enable us to get to know each other better in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in someone’s home.

The purpose of these groups is to learn how to get to know God better, to get to know each other better, and ultimately, to reach out to the wider community to make it a better place to live in. We want everyone in the community to know there is always someone there for them, whatever is going on in their lives, and that His name is Jesus. Members of a carecell also know that they can rely on the other members of the carecell to be there for them too.  

We also have regular activities such as barbeques, trips out, cookery evenings, and, of course, the annual plant sale in aid of the Heart Of Kent Hospice.

We are always pleased to welcome new members and visitors.  It doesn’t matter if you know nothing about Christianity (we can tell you all about it) or have been a Christian for years.

So if you thought church was something you just went to on a Sunday morning and forgot about during the week, come and join us, and start a new way of life!
